Accommodation

For anyone wishing to book accommodation at the Holiday Inn on Wednesday 21 May, there is a preferential rate available of £85 inc Vat. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

To reserve accommodation on 21 May, please call 0870 225 4701 and quote DCSF Playing for Success conference.

The online registration system will ask if you have booked accommodation at the Holiday Inn on 21 May, if you have done so, please ensure you complete this section of the form to prevent being allocated to an overspill hotel.

Welcome to the Playing for Success National Conference 2008

PfS: Moving forward, achieving excellence

We are pleased to announce the 10th Playing for Success national conference.

This conference marks the end of the 10th anniversary year, and the beginning of a new era for PfS. Over the year, everyone involved in Playing for Success has celebrated the achievements of young people at local, regional and national events, and we have seen further expansion of the initiative to new local authorities and clubs. We want to carry forward this energy and reinforce the emphasis on excellence.

This new phase sees Rex Hall Associates firmly at the helm and driving PfS forward with a strong emphasis on quality and leadership, supported by the new team at the DCSF.

To take us forward the five key conference objectives are:

To share experience and good practice
To enhance quality and innovation
To stimulate ideas
To celebrate success
To welcome new partners and colleagues

The conference programme offers a mix of plenary and workshop sessions with speakers who will both inform and entertain. As usual, there will be opportunities for networking, active participation and involvement. Importantly, it also offers an occasion to share new ideas and ways of working to enable you to keep your centre at the forefront of educational best practice and excellence.

Please note that you must register your attendance at this event. Without your registration, we will not be able to guarantee overnight accommodation on the evening of 22 May.
